VICKY KAROMO - PROFILE

 

Born and raised in one of the most beautiful and exotic places in the world, Kenya, Vicky’s love of the Arts was evident even as a young girl. She grew up in Kenya’s Capital City – Nairobi and joined mainstream performing Arts where she got involved in a host of local productions including ‘Who killed Santa Claus’, My Lovely Mother’, 'Enough is Enough’ with Heartstrings Ensemble and International productions including ‘Pulling Down Babel’-by Pan Project UK/British Council and ‘African Julius Caesar’, Three sisters’- a Theatrum Botanicum UK/British Council Project’, even attaining a special mention at the Mbalamwezi Theatre Awards ’97 after only one year in the industry.

Vicky also joined the Kenya United Nations Youth and Students Association (KUNSA), where in her capacity as the Secretary General worked on various Art related projects.
